Description of Services: Offers low cost birth control, birth control counselling, emergency contraception, and cervical cancer screening

Fees: Contraceptives offered at a reduced cost
Eligibility - Population(s) Served: People who do not have a primary care provider and are under the age of 50, or:
  • people needing emergency birth control
  • Indigenous peoples
  • people experiencing homelessness
  • people who use substances intravenously
  • people who are new to Canada/speak a language other than English
  • sex workers
  • young people living in a group home or a youth justice facility
  • LGBTQIA+ community members, and youth, not comfortable with own primary care provider, or who have privacy concerns
  • pregnant people who would like to discuss pregnancy termination or pregnancy options counselling (we do not do pregnancy testing)
  • people who have experienced sexual assault (please seek care at the Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Treatment Program at SJHC for services immediately after assault)
  • teens not comfortable seeing their primary health care provider
